As a Philosophy Graduate, paired to my personality, I tend to think....A LOT. Often on a variety of topics at any given moment. Here you will find a sampling of some of them, not all are detailed/complete thoughts; most are works in progress so to speak. They aren't in any specific order, but rather placed here for others to think on and perhaps find enjoyment. 1. The Notion of Love...
Funny how just a simple four lettered word can cause a plethora of problems, both in a personal sense and societal sense. We often will over-hear someone in a bar state "I love this drink" or "I love her." Though what is love? The method I've chosen to take is a non-religious, non-yuppie-secular-atheist-liberal-hippie approach, but rather one grounded in thought while remaining objective. Thus far I have completed a broad outline which flows as such -
So many questions and so little time...I've started in on the composition of the first part. The reading I've completed has been interesting and proven to be a useful guide. The trick on my part is not to add content, as each individual must do that themselves! (Back to Top) By and large the only computers that I have ever used have had a Dell logo stamped on them. Laptops, desktops, PDA's, etc. As a former Dell Employee I have seen Dell from two sides - one as the consumer and the second as a sales rep. The Consumer side of me greatly has enjoyed the performance and reliability I have acquired though Dell products. I've never once had a serious system failure or crash that has prevented me from completing what I was working on/doing. Worst that has happened was a Mother-board failure which Dell sent a replacement over-night. I was back up and running in less than 36 hours. Their laptops are remarkable! Currently I have a Latitude X1 and greatly enjoy the systems versatility! I'm running Photoshop on the thing! However the screen brightness is lacking. Oh well. My Desktop is a XPS Gen 4. Specs for both systems -
As an employee. Dell is a meat-grinder. Either you sell at over 100% of you are simply not there. It is a high-stress environment with, I think, over-bearing managers who are highly skilled at selling, but weak at managing people. They do pay very well for this, but one must wonder if the stress is worth it. I served at Team Lead for many business areas (Financing Rate, Service, etc) which I am thankful for. I learned how to drive a team towards success. I would have much rather been in a coaching role than a sales role. Currently I can't even have my former managers return my e-mails. Rather pitiful for a business that maintains an "open-door" policy. |
